Engage with new and old colleagues and participate in new events, meetings, and workshops offered throughout campus this month.  We hope you'll take advantage of the information highlighted below.

It All Comes Down to This! Volunteer to Assist at the 2023 Commencement Ceremonies!

The 2023 Commencement & Honors Convocation ceremonies are just around the corner, calling an end to the academic year.  Once again, the campus community will gather at the core of our campus in a magnificent way, as we all celebrate the success of our CSUN graduates.

This year, we expect a healthy amount of guests in attendance of these exercises, and looking to our colleagues across the campus to assist as volunteers.  Volunteers add a valuable layer of support that enhanced our graduate and guest experience.

If you are interested in volunteering, please see the full details below.  The Office of Student Development & Transitional Programs can also answer other general commencement-related questions you may have.  We are really excited to have your support!

TRAININGS

Attending a brief training will be necessary and they will take place a week prior to the ceremonies.  At this training we’ll cover event logistics, real-scenarios, and speaking points to help enable and empower volunteers to providing consistent messages with empathy, accuracy, and pride.  training should take about 45 to 60 minutes and are both on Wednesday, May 3, 2023:

  1. 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.,  USU Ventura Room
  2. 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., USU La Crescenta Room

If unable to make it to one of the trainings, you can reach out to us and we’ll look at alternatives for make-up dates or possibly schedule an individual meeting with you.
