Have You Gotten Your New MataCard?
Introducing The New MataCard
It's time to retire that old plastic CSUN ID card and replace it with a shiny new digital MataCard! That's right, no need to continue to empty the entire contents of your bag or wallet only to get to the bottom and realize you left your ID card at home.
As a mobile ID, the new MataCard is your CSUN ID and so much more. Think of it as your ID and campus debit card that makes getting around campus more convenient and secure. All you need is your iPhone, Apple Watch or Android.
With the new card, you can make select purchases anywhere on campus — the Campus Store, eateries and Mercado locations. You can even use it at Pepsi vending machines. As a bonus, campus eateries will offer a discount when you pay using your MataCard. All you have to do is tap your cell phone to the device reader at any of the above merchants, and you're done.
How to Upgrade to The New MataCard
Download the Transact eAccounts app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and follow the prompts to set up your account.
To learn more about the MataCard, or for detailed setup instructions, visit the MataCard webpage. If you encounter an error message, you may need to update your photo. Please visit the Student Services Center to update your ID card photo. It is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Physical ID cards will continue to be honored. However, we encourage you to upgrade to the MataCard for added security and convenience.
