Joseluz Sosa

Hello! I am Jasmine "Jaz" Mendez. I am an undergraduate student at California State University, Northridge. I am on my way to graduate in May 2024 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish-Language Journalism.

I am a proud Guatemalan-American and a first-generation college
student. My heart and soul belong to the San Fernando Valley, my home for the past 20 years. I have a passion for community outreach, politics and journalism. I interned at CASSIE Labs during the Fall semester of 2022 with the goal to expand my research skills.
I plan to use these skills for future endeavors pertaining to investigative journalism and documentary work.
