CSUN Student Academy of Audiology Awarded

April 26, 2021

csun saa logoCommunication Disorders and Sciences Department Chair Patricia Seymour shared with the Dean’s Office that the CSUN Chapter of the Student Academy of Audiology (CSUN SAA) has received two recognition awards from the CSUN Matador involvement Center.

Jasmin Rodriguez, CSUN SAA President 2020-2021 shared the following:

Each year the Matador Involvement Center hosts a very special awards ceremony to recognize the amazing and influential work of the student leaders, clubs, organizations, and advisors. Some of these accomplishments include New Program, Outstanding Club, and so much more.

This year, the Student Academy of Audiology was nominated for two awards: Diversity and Inclusion and Outstanding Fundraising Awards.

This first award is given to a program that contributes to multicultural awareness, exposes participants of the culture, artistic expression, trust, historical views of more than one culture, and promoted inclusiveness on campus. The second away highlights a program that fundraises for a great cause and gives back to the community.

I would like to share the exciting news with you. CSUN SAA won the Diversity and Inclusion and Outstanding Fundraising Awards. We are honored to accept these awards and continue our mission.

Congratulations to this Student Organization and the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences at CSUN!
