The Department of Kinesiology proudly sponsors “Kinesis: Emerging Choreography” showcasing many talented dancers, choreographers and lighting designers. Choreographic diversity will be the hallmark of this concert, with dance styles ranging from urban street, tap, and contemporary. In collaboration with the music and theatre departments, new compositions and lighting designs will be featured throughout the concert.
Cal State Northridge’s top student choreographers and dancers will demonstrate diverse choreographic vision, passionate dancing and powerful performances on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at 8pm and Thursday April 26, 2018 at 2pm and 8pm. Kinesis: Emerging Choreography provides a glimpse into the art and life that is and continues to occur at CSUN.
*On Thursday April 26, 2018 a tribute to Dr. Mary Jo Sariscsany will take place after the matinee performance. Dr. Sariscsany has inspired countless educators who are working throughout the country. We are eager to extend our gratitude to her.
