Professional Information File (PIF)

How to Create a Box PIF

A PIF (Professional Information File) is a document that a Lecturer creates to show proof of their professional activities.

See FAQs for Professional Information Files on the PP&R Guidelines page. However, this information is mainly for Tenure Track faculty, so not all this information will apply to Lectures.

See Section 703 for more general information about PIFs in the Section 700 Academic Personnel Policies and Procedures for Temporary Academic Personnel Manual.

Department chairs are also a resource as mentors for guidance in what to place in a PIF. Please do not hesitate to contact the Department Chair for guidance.
