On behalf of the students and faculty in the AIMS2 program, I would like to invite you to join us on September 11 from 3:15 PM – 8 PM at our fifth annual research symposium. The symposium is free and open to the public. Attached for your review is a copy of the program brochure and the schedule for September 11. These may also be accessed online at: http://www.ecs.csun.edu/aims2/program-information/presentations/

The AIMS2 program is a multi-institutional collaborative grant to increase the participation and graduation of Hispanic and low income students in engineering and computer science and funded by the US Department of Education. A unique feature of our cohort-based program is the involvement of students and faculty in structured activities such as peer mentoring and paid undergraduate research. This summer we had over 50 students who participated in supervised research projects under the guidance of our faculty. About half the participants are from our partner community colleges. For more information about the program, please feel free to visit http://www.ecs.csun.edu/aims2/
