Here is an idea. Let’s prioritize self-care as we return to in-person work. In her article in the Harvard Business Review, Amy Jen Su discusses self-care in the work setting in her article “Self-Care in Your Day-to-Day Work”. Here are a few of her ideas :
- Define Self-Care More Broadly-At the heart of self-care is your relationship and connection to self. As part of your job, it means that you’re attuned to and understand what you need to be your most constructive, effective, and authentic self.
- Operationalize Self-Care in Your Day-to-Day Work- weave it naturally into the course of your workday.
- Notice When You’ve Slipped Out of Self-Care Mode-engage in self-compassion, avoid self-neglect, plan for self-management.
- Surround yourself with good people-healthy and supportive relationships are a critical part of self-care.
