Self-care at CSUN

September 14, 2020

Dear MDECOE Community,

Looking for new ways to engage in self-care? There are so many wonderful virtual resources for self-care right here at CSUN! Below are a few great options available to you.

  1. The Institute of Health and Well-Being is offering a series of virtual events to connect with others in discussions about racial inequity and ways to envision a better community. In addition, the Institute offers regular virtual mindfulness Monday meditations at noon. Finally, our SPED Literacy Clinic and our other CSUN centers to support faculty, staff, students, and community are featured in their latest newsletter.
  2. The Marilyn Magaram Center is offering a nutrition and Health Workshop Series including, this Wednesday, September 16th, a workshop on tips for losing weight and keeping it off.  magaram.center@csun.edu
  3. The Resource Guide for the 2020 Soraya Summer Arts Institute is now available and includes Artists Zoom presentations, a link to an excerpt of a SIMPACT presentation, and links to several websites with online artistic tools.
  4. Commit to Be Fit is an a free online group fitness program for all fitness levels facilitated by CSUN Kinesiology students. https://www.csun.edu/wellbeing/commit-be-fit

Please check out these great self-care options and continue to look at our COE self-care website for other self-care resources for faculty, staff, and COE students at:
