COE Self-Care Activities Week Ten

April 13, 2015

Dear College of Education Staff and Faculty,

It is WEEK TEN and we are in the final three weeks of our COE self-care program! These are some of the most stressful weeks of the academic year for faculty and staff, so take good care of yourself and consider coming to one of these activities for a supportive and restorative break!

You deserve to take good care of yourself.

Warmly,

Shari

COE Self-Care Activities Week Ten

MONDAY, April 13th, 12:15-12:30 in Ed 1216-Mindfulness Mondays meditation with Diane Gehart. Each week Diane shares new ways to use mindfulness in our everyday lives.  This is VERY helpful in these final stressful weeks of the year!

TUESDAY, April 14th, 12:15-12:45 in Ed 1214/1216 -Tasty Tuesdays presentation with Ellen Bauersfeld. This week, Ellen will be advising us about the pros and cons of specific diets, like vegetarianism. We always hear surprising and valuable information with Ellen. Come find out why-and bring your lunch if you'd like!

WEDNESDAY, April 15th, 12:15-12:45 in Ed 1214/1216-Workout Wednesdays with Emily, Michael, and Nico, our own "personal trainers" from Kinesiology. Come take a walk!  Release and reenergize! We don't plan on getting "sweaty" during this 30 min class.

THURSDAY, April 16th, 12:15-12:45 in Ed 1214/1216-Thoughtful Thursdays Yoga with Jessica (Jess) Frank and interpreter Catherine (Cass) Kroener. Jess will be focusing on breathing exercises that help us relax and rejuvenate. No mats needed, and no sweating during this activity. These breathing exercises really help release stress!
