COE Self-Care Activities Week Four

September 28, 2015

Dear COE staff and faculty,

Here is a PREVIEW of upcoming SUSTAINABILITY self-care sessions coming on Tuesdays in Oct. that are totally new, so mark your calendars!

Based on feedback from you, we have come to understand that self-care can include both self-sustainability activities and sustaining our world around us. So on Tuesday, Oct. 6th from 12-1 in 1214, we'll enjoy a wonderful talk on sustainability activities both at CSUN and for you at home from our own CSUN sustainability manager Austin Ericsson. Bonus-this presentation will include lunch for everyone who comes! Then on Tuesday, Oct. 13th from 12-1 also in 1214, presenter Lisa Novack from Theodore Payne Foundation and Gardening Center will continue the sustainability theme with a presentation about landscaping with CA native plants to save water and support biodiversity. This presentation will include handouts and real plants needed to start your own garden. The Payne Foundation Gardening Center is a highly recognized teaching center so this is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who loves to garden.

Staff and faculty self-care activities this week:

MINDFULNESS on Tuesday, Sept. 29th, 2-2:30 in CTL conference room with Diane Gehart.

WALKING THE PATH with Maria King on Weds. Sept. 30th, 12:15-12:45 meet in the EPC dept. office Ed 1218.

I hope you're doing something good for yourself this week!

Warmly,

Shari
