COE Self-Care Activities Week Five

March 6, 2017

Dear Staff and Faculty,

  This week, faculty and staff can take a walk with President Harrison and learn about many great self-care activities happening across campus! On Wednesday, March 8th, from 12-12:45, the president will lead this easy and informative walk starting from Santa Suzanna Hall at noon and will make stops at the student Health Center, the Student Recreation Center, and other self-care centers on campus. It's open to all CSUN faculty and staff, no need to register, free items will be given away, and it's a great way to show support for self-care at CSUN! 

Also this week, we welcome the return of Joo Kim, who will talk about holistic health on Tuesday, March 7th from 12-1 in Ed 1214. Please join us for a St. Patrick's Day lunch while listening to wonderful ways to minimize pain and stay healthy and centered with Joo! And on Tuesday, we have our regular relaxation meditation session from 2-2:30 in the CTL conference room. 

  • On March 7th, Tuesday, 12-1 1214 Joo Kim: minimizing pain and staying healthy through holistic health
  • Also on Tuesday, MEDITATION 2:00-2:30 in the CTL conference room, first floor across from the CTL office.
  • WEDNESDAY, March 8th: Walkability Wednesday with President Harrison from 12-12:45, an easy and informative walk promoting self-care at CSUN starting from Santa Suzanna Hall at noon.

  • March 14, 1-2, 1214 Traveling for Bliss this Spring Break! with Mechelle N. Best, PhD, Associate Professor, Chair & Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Recreation & Tourism Management will present on travel tips and places that provide wonderful opportunities for self-care right in our area and beyond!
