COE Self-Care Activities Week Eight

October 31, 2016

Dear College of Education Staff and Faculty,

This week our sustainability presentation on Tuesday at noon will need to be rescheduled to the Spring semester due to unforeseen circumstances. Instead, we will celebrate Thanksgiving early with a fabulous feast from 12-1 in Ed 1214/1216. Everyone is welcome! While enjoying our meal, we will continue our theme of self-care and the arts with the premier of the short (15 minute) comedy feature film "Baggage" about a woman from a small town learning about karma in the big city. The film is currently entered in the Sundance film festival and has won several awards already!

Also this Tuesday, enjoy a relaxing and renewing meditation from 2-2:30.  This week we will meet in the CTL media room in the CTL office area.

Please watch for weekly emails on upcoming self-care activities, and keep checking the self-care website.

Below are November self-care activities:

Nov. 1st, and every Tuesday this semester from 2-2:30 : Mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation. Come take advantage of regular mediation sessions!

Nov. 15th, Tuesday,  12-1 1214 Ellen Bauersfeld:  nutrition and wellness -eating well during the holidays and other exciting topics!

Nov. 22nd, Tuesday, 12-1 Traveling for Bliss: Mechelle N. Best, PhD, Associate Professor, Chair & Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Recreation & Tourism Management will present on travel tips and places that provide wonderful opportunities for self-care!

Have a great week filled with self-care!

Warmly,
