Dear Staff and Faculty,
Sometimes tragic and sad events happen in life. The recent tragedy in Las Vegas has been a heartbreaking event for everyone to witness. It is so important to take care of ourselves, and our colleagues, staff, and students during these tough times. We would like to share some resources at https://www.csun.edu/eisner-education/self-care/news/coe-self-care-strategies-dealing-sad-events that were sent out earlier for help with dealing with tragic events.
In addition to these resources, this Tuesday we have two short, self-care activities to help you deal with stress: (1) in ED 1214 from 12:00 - 12:30, our bimonthly Weight Winners session where VV will demo a quick, easy, decadent, low-calorie fall dessert—come for the tasting! and (2) in the CTL conference room from 2-2:30, our weekly meditation and light yoga session.

Oct. 17th, Tuesday, 12-1 1214 Acupuncture, Acupressure, and Holistic Health Practices with Joo Kim, Acupuncturist with the CSUN Klotz Health Center and part time instructor on holistic and Asian traditional health practices.
Nov. 7th, Tuesday, 12-1 1214 CSUN nutritionist Ellen Bauersfeld will present information and answer questions on Nutrition and Wellness.
Dec. 5th, Tuesday 12-1 in 1214 CSUN Recreation & Tourism Management Department Chair Mechelle Best and beer aficionado Vanessa Villavicenciowill give a presentation on Holiday Beer and Wine Travel Tasting Tours.
