COE Self-Care Activities Week 4

February 26, 2018

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Welcome to a very busy week of self-care! This Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 12:30-1:30 p.m., in ED 1214/1216, the Faculty Council and the Dean's Office invite you to a panel discussion and open forum on school and campus safety, when a panel of experts from campus will discuss the emotional impact of gun violence in schools, how to discuss campus and school safety concerns, and safety resources. This meeting will also allow discussion by those in attendance of needs and wants around campus and school safety. A goal of this meeting will be to gauge interest and develop next steps. We hope you will join us for this very important meeting immediately following the All College meeting from 11-12 with President Harrison next Wednesday, Feb. 28th. And lunch from 12-12:30 p.m. will be included!

And, this Tuesday from 2:00-2:30 in the CTL Conference Room, we continue our meditation sessions with our leader Josh Einhorn!  This is a great opportunity to reduce stress so please join us!

And please mark your calendars for a very special self-care session next week. On Tuesday, March 6, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, in ED 1214/1216, please join the COE Self-Care Program and the EPC Diversity Committee for a panel with COE First Generation College Students to expand our notion of self-care and build community. The event will be moderated by Dr. Miguel Ceja, and faculty and staff will have a chance to learn from our diverse student panel, as well as receive useful tools for working with First Generation College Students inside and outside of the classroom.
