Dear Faculty and Staff,
As we begin our first week of the semester, we also look forward to balance and well-being with our fall semester of COE staff and faculty self-care. This fall, our theme is Meditating: the many ways to meditate and how this can benefit our lives. We will begin with a self-care welcome back luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 4th from 12-1 in Ed 1214/1216, complete with a preview of self-care upcoming activities, a handout and discussion on mindful meditation and leadership, and a great lunch. On Wednesday, September 5th, from 1-1:30 PM, in the CTL Conference room, we continue our weekly meditation sessions and chair yoga with our wonderful leader, Josh Einhorn. Also note. Attached is a flyer about opportunities to work with the CSUN wellness coach on a variety of areas. Please share widely with students. Also look for the special publication of National Geographic magazine currently on newsstands featuring Blue Zones and why self-care leads to living longer and healthier!
As always, please look for weekly emails on upcoming self-care activities, and keep checking this website.
