We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jamie Alea as the Credential Office Director in the Michael D. Eisner College of Education starting August 1st, 2024.
Dr. Alea has been the Director of Student Transition Programs since 2022 and prior to that, the Director of the College of Science Advising Center from 2015-2022, both at California State University, San Jose. She previously held the position of Assistant Director of Student Services and Admissions and Credential Analyst at Santa Clara University .
Dr. Alea earned a Ph.D. in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies with an area of concentration in Comparative and International Education from Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. Her dissertation title was “ English Proficiency and Admission and Graduation of Post-Secondary Students at a Puerto Rican University”. She has presented on various topics related to university school partnerships and successful pathways forward for teacher education programs.
