Certificate of Excellence and Certificate of Distinction Awards

NOTE: If you become eligible for this award after the annual awards event (at your midyear graduation, for example), please submit this online application after you graduate.

Both Certificates of Excellence and Certificates of Distinction awards are given annually, by the Department of Economics, at the Awards Ceremony.

CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE: awarded to students whose grade point averages in Economics classes taken at CSUN are between 3.5 and 4.0

CERTIFICATE OF DISTINCTION: awarded to students whose grade point averages in Economics classes taken at CSUN are between 3.0 and 3.49

Students are eligible for these certificates once they have completed five (5) upper division Economics courses at CSUN. All Economics course grades (lower and upper division) earned at CSUN are used to calculate the CSUN Economics grade point average (G.P.A.).

Students do not need to apply to be included in the next awards event, held every Spring semester. Family and friends are invited.
