Before You Register - First-Time Freshmen
- Submit your Intent to Enroll by June 1, 2024. No fee is charged. For help, visit the Intent to Enroll Guide.
- Kickstart your journey as a proud and prepared CSUN Matador this summer with Pathways to Excellence (P2E). P2E is a FREE transition program through which you’ll preview university life, discover resources and meet CSUN faculty, staff and students. Experience it all this summer! Sign up for P2E.
- To prepare for advising, download and read the "Fall 2024 First-Time Freshman Advising Checklist in PDF," available at New Freshman Advising.
- Enroll in classes with your academic advisor, who will counsel you on course selection and degree requirements. Check your CSUN email account often for instructions on how to schedule an appointment with your designated academic advising center, listed at New Freshman Advising.
- New Student Orientation is mandatory and fun! Find the date and sign up at freshman orientation.
Before enrolling, you must complete the Title IX "Not Anymore" online course. This and all registration holds will block your class enrollment until you clear them.
