"We are a part of the Product Inclusion & Equity and Design teams in Google's Devices and Service group. We will share the latest accessibility technology offered on Pixel and the community-built initiatives we undertook to drive innovation for inclusion.
We started with a question: how can the camera on Pixel help blind and low-vision users better see the world? We conducted foundational research to understand user needs, identified desired solutions with co-design workshops, and engaged different organizations to understand feature priorities. In this talk, we will share the latest accessibility solutions we launched on Pixel in 2023, including Magnifier and Guided Frame 2.0, and the process and methodology we applied to continuously work with the blind and low-vision communities to define, design and improve the apps or features. We will also share learning about how to best design for blind and low vision users."
