Hybrid Applications (Webview)

Date & Time
Friday, March 22, 2024 - 2:20 PM PDT
Location
Platinum 2
Description
Converge technologies or hybrid applications are becoming more popular among software companies. It is more attractive for buisness owners to have one developtment framework rather than having a Web framework, Native IOS framework, and Native Android framework. Even though this is attractive from a buisness standpoint; are there accessibility implementation and useability implications. I will be discussing Web frameworks that will be used as Mobile app Webviews. What needs to be discovered? Does Voice Over on IOS and Talk Back on Android support HTML markup and ARIA attributes? If this is the future of software will HTML and ARIA working groups update to retrofit these new technologies?
