This session will discuss the current state and future of brain-computer interface technology, focusing mostly on the applications in advancing communication, mobility, hearing and beyond within the accessibility industry. Attendees will learn more about the use of BCI in assistive technology as well as well as potential future applications - exploring the challenges and opportunities of implementation, as well as ethical considerations and potential barriers to adoption. The session aims to provide insights into the possibilities and limitations of this emerging technology and its impact on the accessibility industry. The session will also include a live demo of a BCI enabled headband device used to control devices with blink, winks and eye movements.
