- Description
-
Building a comprehensive digital accessibility program means juggling a lot of priorities including employee hiring and training, remediation planning, procurement management, and policy development. Knowing where to start, especially in a decentralized organization, can be daunting.
In this presentation we will share our story: the first year of our Digital Accessibility Office at Carnegie Mellon University. See our roadmap and learn from the outcomes of our efforts in awareness and outreach, training and professional development, and process and policy improvement. Get strategies for prioritization, risk management, engaging senior leadership, and developing advocates across the organization.
The presentation focus will be on higher education institutions, but the information will be applicable to anyone starting a digital accessibility program.
