Rapid Prototyping with Accessibility in Mind
- Date & Time
-
Wednesday, March 16, 2022 - 1:20 PM PST
- Location
-
Platinum 7-8
- Description
-
Accessibility user testing is always an afterthought. Typically, a user who relies on assistive technologies to experience a product is only heard through a customer support channel or after a legal complaint.
This session aims to showcase some breakthrough mental models and best practices on how user researchers and product designers in the field of User Experience (UX) can evaluate early design concepts using well-known usability evaluation methods, but with Accessibility in mind.
The outcome of these evaluations with people with disabilities testing accessible prototypes will prove that testing for Accessibility during the conceptualization stage provides a better experience for all users while educating UX professionals about web accessibility guidelines.
