Tomo Hattori is Associate Professor of Asian American Studies at California State University, Northridge. He is the author of “Song for a Murdered Cousin: Violence in The Woman Warrior” in Critical Insights: Coming of Age (Salem Press 2012) as well as other journal articles and book chapters on Asian American literature and critical theory. He teaches undergraduate courses at CSUN in Asian American literature and cultural studies. His current interests include graphic novels, adolescent fiction and critical theory.
