New Sports Law course in Spring 2021

BLAW 495 ADV TOPICS will be offered in spring 2021 and taught by Professor Nanci Carr.  This course provides an overview of how various bodies of law are applied in the context of the sports industry, both professional and amateur. We examine the legal relationships among athletes, teams, governing bodies, facilities, and fans through an examination of contract, tort, agency, and antidiscrimination law.  BLAW 495 can be used to fulfill a BLAW elective requirement.
