She received her Master of Arts in Special Education at California State University, Northridge, and a double Bachelor of Arts at California State University, Fullerton, in criminal justice as well as Afro-ethnic studies. -- Antelope Valley Press

Potters sweep the Knicks, extend winning streak to six

The fireworks started early in Sunday night’s Independence Day series finale, with the Potters putting up 10 runs in the first three innings of the game. Jason Brandow (CSU-Fullerton) blew the game wide open in the second inning, with a towering three-run homer that put the Potters up 7-0. The Knicks put together a few rallies in the middle innings, but were unable to recover and the Potters held on to win 10-4. Lincoln native and five-year Potter veteran Eli Garcia (CSU-Northridge) earned his third win of the season, going four innings and giving up just two earned runs with eight strikeouts. -- Gold Country Media

His father, Bob, worked for the Los Angeles Times as a reporter and editor. His mother, Cynthia, is a retired professor and administrator at Cal State Northridge. Report: Reggie Theus to become coach, AD at Bethune-Cookman

This will be Theus' third stint as a college head coach. He has a 94-128 record in seven seasons, going 41-23 in two seasons at New Mexico State (2005-07) and 53-105 in five seasons at Cal State Northridge (2013-18).
