At the Gaucho Invitational at UC Santa Barbara, Sameerah Evans (Vanden, Vallejo graduate) of Cal State Northridge was second in the women’s triple jump (38 feet, 8 1/2 inches) and third in the 100 hurdles (14.67). For Cal Poly, Quinton Alexander (Vanden) was third in the men’s 800 (1:54.06) and Makayla Oliver (Vacaville) was fifth in the women’s 100 (12.55). -- Daily Repulic

Johnston is a community practice public art creator who has dedicated his career to elevating social issues that impact communities of Color through public art.
