Governor Brown Announces Appointments

Christian Rubalcava, 20, of Sylmar, has been appointed to the California Student Aid Commission. Rubalcava has been a student at California State University, Northridge since 2014, where he has been a lower-division senator and attorney general at the Associated Students Inc. since 2015 and a member of the Academic Grievances and Grade Appeals Committee since 2015. He is a member of the Sylmar Neighborhood Council. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Rubalcava is a Republican. -- Imperial Valley News
