Notebook: Long Beach State women’s basketball senior night Thursday

Long Beach State women’s basketball seniors Jewelyn Sawyer, Raven Benton, Anna Kim and Madison Montgomery are finishing their college careers in style. The 49ers will be honored during the last regular season game at Walter Pyramid on Thursday at 7 p.m. against Cal State Northridge and then fly to Honolulu to play Hawaii on Saturday in the last regular-season game before the Big West Conference tournament. The four seniors have played a combined 476 games for LBSU. Last month, Kim became the 25th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone and Benton became the 13th player in program history to join the 1,000 point, 500 rebound club. -- Long Beach Press-Telegram
