UC Riverside Bests Matadors 69-62
NORTHRIDGE – CSUN Men’s Basketball (6-20, 3-9 BWC) led most of the game against UC Riverside Wednesday at The Matadome, but ultimately an 18-0 run by the Highlanders would prove to be too much for the shorthanded Matadors’ squad as they dropped a tough decision, 69-62. -- SCV News

ith a two-goal loss to Stanford blemishing a 9-1 record, #2 Cal has opened the season strong. Head Coach Coralie Simmons’ squad already has victories over #5 Hawai’i, #7 UC Irvine and #9 Michigan. This weekend, the Golden Bears will face #10 UC Davis and the China Women’s National Water Polo Team before traveling to Irvine to face #19 Cal State Northridge in the Kalbus Invitational. Of note has been the early season play of senior Dora Antal. Not only has the Hungarian-born striker notched 25 goals, on February 3 she became Cal’s all-time leading goal-scorer, breaking the record of 217 set in 2013 by Emily Csikos. -- Swimming World Magazine
Four New Assistant Principals Appointed to Hart District
Kyra Madsen will begin her role at Placerita Junior High School on July 1, 2018. Ms. Madsen began teaching at Rio Norte Junior High in 2006. While at Rio Norte, she was an administrative intern, instructional coach, department chair, team leader and professional development team coach. She also served as a summer school administrator at both West Ranch High School and Placerita Junior High. This past school year, Ms. Madsen has served as assistant principal in the Palmdale School District where she was responsible for professional learning communities, student testing and data, GATE, school site safety and ASB to name a few. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Cal State Northridge and a Master’s degree from University of La Verne. -- SCV News

Hart School District Names Four New Assistant Principals
Henry has acted as the district’s English Language Learner Teacher on Special Assignment since 2014. Before that, she taught English and ELD at Golden Valley High School from 2008 to 2014. Henry earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and also earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the same university. -- KHTS
John Dilibert, Jared Watson promoted at Ada County Sheriff’s Office
John Dilibert has been promoted to the rank of captain at the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Dilibert, who spent 29 years working for the Burbank Police Department before accepting a position as a patrol lieutenant with the ACSO in 2016, will be in charge of the Ada County Jail, where he will manage more than 220 employees. Dilibert has done a wide variety of jobs over his career in law enforcement, including patrol officer, detective, public information officer, 911 dispatch manager, patrol sergeant, and patrol lieutenant. Dilibert holds a master’s degree in public administration from California State University Northridge. -- Idaho Business Review
