The program includes works by Mendelssohn and Clara Wieck Schumann. Nancy has been recognized for championing works by women in her programs and has recorded four commercial albums. For many years, she was a pre-concert lecturer for the Los Angeles Philharmonic and was on the music faculty of Mount St. Mary's University. Charles Fierro was a leading California pianist and recording artist who gave numerous premiere performances of contemporary works at the prominent Ojai Festivals and the Monday evening Concerts. He was lauded for his outstanding interpretation of Brahms, Liszt, Schumann and Hindemith. A distinguished professor of music, he taught at Cal State University, Northridge for thirty years.
