A walk would load the bases before Daylen Reyes (UCLA) drove home two more with a single to center to make it 11-7. Andrew Sojka (CSUN) lined another single to left to make it 11-8, and Branden Comia (Illinois) sent a single to right to score two to cut the deficit to one. Dock Spiders Late Rally Comes Up Short
The Dock Spiders struck first in the second inning with a solo shot from Evan Smith (West Virginia) and an RBI single to the wall from Andrew Sojka (CSUN). The hit extended his hit streak to 13 consecutive games. The Rockers would strike back with seven unanswered runs, including five home runs between the second and third innings. In the third, six straight Rockers would reach base, including home runs from Griffin Stevens (Tiffin), Keniel De Leon (LIU), and JP Gauthier (Illinois State). Matt Scannell (Princeton) led the charge for the Rockers with three home runs to cap off a 4-4 night. -- KFIZ
