CSUN reportedly set to hire Mark Gottfried as men’s basketball coach

In less than a week, Cal State Northridge has reportedly found a replacement for fired men’s basketball coach Reggie Theus. Multiple reports say that Mark Gottfried, a former assistant coach at UCLA who also was a head coach at Alabama and North Carolina State, will be the new coach. -- Los Angeles Daily News

Former NC State coach Mark Gottfried to be hired by Cal State Northridge

Former NC State head coach Mark Gottfried is expected to be hired by California State University Northridge, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman. CSU-N recently parted ways with head coach Reggie Theus. Theus coached the Matadors for five seasons, amassing a record of 53–105 (26–54), finishing as high as 5th in the Big West conference. If nothing else, the schools in this conference have great locations. So, you know, great views and all that. -- Backing the Pack
