USU golf: Utah State continues 2018 fall season at Colorado-hosted Mark Simpson Invitational
Fourteen teams are scheduled to compete in this week's tournament, including Cal Baptist, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Colorado, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Houston Baptist, Northern Colorado, Pacific, Southern Utah, Stephen F. Austin, UC Riverside, Utah, Utah State, Utah Valley and Wyoming. In addition, 14 individuals will compete for an overall 84-man field. -- Deseret News - UT
CSUN’s Lindsay Kutscher Candidate for Senior CLASS Award
NORTHRIDGE – Senior defender Lindsay Kutscher has been selected as one of 30 women’s soccer candidates for the Senior CLASS award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be a Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. -- SCV News
CSUN’s Merchan Nabs Big West Co-Athlete of the Week
NORTHRIDGE – CSUN’s Michael Merchan has been named Co-Big West Athlete of the Week for men’s cross country. Merchan is the first Matador men’s cross country student-athlete to earn the award since it was established in 2001. Merchan shares the honor with Nick Randazzo of UCSB. -- SCV News
MHS Hosts Second Volleyball Exhibition Match of the Season
The group’s coach, Derek Saenz, organized an exhibition game in the Sharks’ gym that featured 13 men’s volleyball players who battled at the net as members of volleyball teams at colleges such as Pepperdine, UCLA, Long Beach State and the California State University-Northridge. -- The Malibu Times
