CSUN women's volleyball head coach Aquiles Montoya has announced the Matadors' 2024 schedule, starting with an exhibition match against Cal State LA on Aug. 24 and the regular season opener against Seattle University on Aug. 30. The team will play 30 matches, with 11 non-conference games before the Big West season kicks off on Sept. 27. -- BVM Sports

The CSUN baseball team achieved a remarkable milestone by securing its third consecutive 30-win season, a first in over two decades, under the leadership of head coach Eddie Cornejo. The team's 30-24 overall record marked the fifth consecutive winning season as a Division I program, setting new benchmarks with a 16-14 conference record and a fourth straight winning conference mark. Noteworthy victories included an upset against No. 13 UC Irvine and a memorable eight-game winning streak, featuring multiple walk-off hits. -- BVM Sports

In the Great Plains Division, the First-Half Great Plains West Champion Willmar Stingers have five players on the roster. Willmar is led by Andrew Sojka (California State University, Northridge). Sojka is the all-time home run leader in the Northwoods League with 31. He is currently hitting .395 with 17 home runs, 53 RBI, and 60 runs scored over 42 games. The St. Cloud Rox also have five selections in the Plains. On the mound from the Rox will be Kaden Pfeffer (St. Cloud State University) who is currently 3-1 with a 2.21 ERA across 40.2 innings. -- Our Sports Central
