This portion of the California for Educators website is designed to help students learn more California. Teachers may use this site to help students understand California better. Pre-service teachers and college instructors taking or teaching courses on California and the Southland may also find these resources useful.
To get started, you may chose from the more 'generic' geogrpahy or history resources listed on the left. There you may find maps of California's physical and human geography, timelines of historical events, resources on economic issues, etc.
You may also chose from the standards-based list of resources below. Each resource or lesson plan is arranged in a table that indicates the title of the resource and the specific content standard addressed by the resource.
