Incoming Students
All Prospective Music students must audition regardless of their incoming status. Once you have applied to the university, you will receive a music department audition form to pick the date for your audition and your music option. Make sure to submit both your CSUN application as well as your Music Department application on time. Once you are accepted to CSUN and sign your intent to enroll, you will be sent a link to a basic musicianship/theory test, as well as a keyboard experience questionnaire. The exam results and questionnaire allow us to place students in their proper level of music courses.
