Government and Community Relations

Who We Are

The Office of Government and Community Relations facilitates university interactions with local, state and federal governments to promote CSUN’s mission with elected officials and organizations. We serve as the primary liaison between the university and community members for issues relevant to both stakeholders.

What We Do

In addition to advancing CSUN’s mission, we also monitor and track legislation, policies and government initiatives that impact students and the university. The team also advocates on CSUN’s behalf with elected local, state and national officials and government agencies. Our top priority is keeping all stakeholders informed of important programs and resources while helping to foster strategic partnerships with community members. The university’s relationship with regional stakeholders is vital to the economic development of the community through an investment in the workforce with talented and innovative graduates.
