Radiation/Laser Safety

CSUN’s radiation safety program is designed to ensure that any work involving sources of ionizing radiation as well as non-ionizing radiation (i.e., lasers) is conducted in a way that protects the health and safety of everyone on campus, minimizes risk to University property, and keeps radiation exposures as low as reasonably achievable. The requirements for safe use and handling of radioactive materials on campus are mandated under the California Radiation Control Regulations.
