Armenian Teacher Training Program (ATTP)

Holy Mother See, Echmiadzin, ArmeniaCSUN is uniquely positioned to prepare educators who are well versed in the teaching of the Armenian language and culture. This is made possible through CSUN’s outstanding teacher preparation programs: The Integrated Teacher Education Program within the Liberal Studies Program (ITEP) and credentialing courses within the highly regarded Michael D. Eisner College of Education.

Armenian Studies Program offers courses to education professionals that are designed to enhance CSUN’s credentialing regimen through the addition of the ATTP, positioning Armenian Studies at CSUN to be the premier educator of future teachers of Armenian language and culture for U.S. Armenian day schools, Saturday schools and after-school programs, as well as public schools and charter schools.

The ATTP will be developed in the folllowing categories:

  • ITEP/Armenian studies minor, for students newly graduated from high school or transferring from another college or university;
  • Graduate-level training, for students who already have a degree in a subject and a teaching credential through the Michael D. Eisner College of Education.
