Vividness is the clarity of the images.
For me, there is even an auditory image of the sound of my wife screaming words I can't repeat, when she entered the room to inquire about a strange odor in the house.
Actually, my office at work brings up the same images. You can see an in color illustration of this in the graphic version, but be fore-warned that it has made some students ill!
