Enter Letters

1.       Click the cursor in the text box next to “Type Letter Here” in order to activate the space.

2.       Type the first letter of the word in parentheses. 

(Note: You do not have to type in the parentheses.  Enter and submit only one letter at a time.  The letter must be in the first space, that is, to the far left in the text box.)

3.       Click Submit.

Correct Letter

If the letter you submitted is correct, it will appear in the text box beside “Your Answer Is”. 

a.       If you have entered a correct letter, go to step 4.

Incorrect Letter:

If the letter you submitted is incorrect, the picture will change and you will get an error message prompting you to try again.  You will have three chances to enter the correct letter.  If you answer incorrectly on your 3^rd attempt, you will miss the question and will then be prompted to proceed to the next one. 

a.       If you have answered incorrectly on your 3^rd attempt, a confirmation message will appear.  Click OK to close it.

b.       Go to step 7.

4.       To type the next letter of the word in parentheses, highlight the one that you have previously entered by double-clicking it and replace it with the appropriate letter.

5.       Repeat step 4 until you have entered the last letter of the word in parentheses. 

6.       If you have entered the last letter correctly, a confirmation message will appear.  Click OK to close it.

7.       Click the picture to go to the next question.

DON’T’s:

§         Do not enter the parentheses.

DO’s

§         Do enter and submit only one letter at a time.

§         Do enter a space if the answer involves two words that are separated by a space.

       Show Me

§         Do enter characters such as a dash (-) if it is included in the answer.

       Show Me

§         Do enter the letters of the word “and” if “and” is between the words in the answer.

Enter a space if the answer involves two words that are separated by a space.

1.       Follow the same procedure as you would for entering letters.

§         Do not enter the parentheses.

DO’s

§         Do type in the next letter following the space by double-clicking the space you previously entered in the text box next to “Type Letter Here” and replacing it with the appropriate letter.

Enter a dash (-) if it is included in the answer.

Enter the word “and” if it is between the words in the answer.  Please note that you will be required to enter a space before and after the word “and”.

§         Do enter a space before and after the word “and”.
