Computed Tomography (CT) Program
Program Objectives
- Provide continuing education for licensed Radiologic Technology Professionals (AA, RTs and ARRTs) at the university level.
- Provide access for professionals to use their mandated continuing education requirements to complete a certificate program.
- Provide advanced radiologic imaging education to promote excellence in the health care environment sciences.
- Offer advanced imaging coursework in computer applications, CT physics and cross- sectional anatomy.
- Offer advanced clinical internships through placements at the Radiologic Sciences program's affiliate medical centers.
- Prepare the student for new employment in the CT imaging field or adds these responsibilities to current employment.
- Prepare and qualify the student to sit for the national advanced imaging CT certification examination.
Program Course Work
Criteria for AdmissionMRI and CT are currently being offered by the faculty in the Radiologic Sciences Program through the Tseng CollegeCT Certificate Program
Students may enroll in these courses after meeting the prerequisites and admission criteria to a specific certificate program through Tseng College.
If the Radiologic Technologist is accepted for clinical placement, actual clinical rotations will be scheduled after completion of the academic course work in that specialty. These clinical rotations will be scheduled around the BSRS students' clinical rotations. There is no guarantee of placement, location or time schedule.
Accreditation
CT programs do not currently require accreditation.
