AMGEN BIOTECHNOLOGY EXPERIMENTS

 

BIOTECHNOLOGY EXPERIMENTS. Amgen, a nearby major biotechnology company, will be a partner in this program. It will provide all supplies and equipment, free of charge, for project teachers, after the training they receive in this program, to implement recombinant DNA experiments in their classes on a continuing basis for years to come. Amgen has been doing this for our programs for well over a decade. This is a wonderful ongoing resource that allows teachers to implement state-of-the-art biotechnology in their classes, at no cost. This is a major sustainable component of the program that will be in operation long after Eisenhower funding ends and will be offered to both Track 1 and Track 2 teachers.
