Making Your Own Videos
In order to make your movie viewable for anyone on the web, you need to convert the movie to the more universal QuickTime format. To do this, you need to run a different application, either QTVR Player or Movie Player 2.5. (QTVR Player stands for QuickTime Virtual Reality Player.)
Direct Video Recording to AV Computer This movie was made using Apple Video Player . It was then converted to a QuickTime movie (.mov) using Movie Player (Ed2Mac/Internet/Internet Tools/Movieplayer) before it was posted on the web.
Movie Made from Pre-Recorded Video Tape: This movie of a tornado was copied from a VHS videotape, digitized using a digital camera. Plug the AV cable from the "video out" and "audio out" ports on the VCR to the AV input on the digital camera. Set the camera's vcr menu to accept AV to DV conversion. Connect the firewire or USB cable from the camera to the computer to edit in your digital movie editing software.
