As I am working on this hypertext, I find that many of my theoretical impulses are also being played out, enacted on email lists. The past/present/future all mixed together as I hear echoes and reverberations from the many voices I am listening to *as I am writing* this document. This process is more than just exhilarating and informative, in the sense of "surveying a field of scholarly work."
