Live Oak Hall 1328 and via Zoom meeting

We investigate several notions of “convexity at a point” and their relations to global and local convexity. An interesting by-product of this investigation is a construction from a discontinuity of any second derivative a non-convex minimum. Anyone who has a Calculus 1 will enjoy the talk and those who have introduction to analysis will appreciate the proofs. I promise a good story.
