Traditional models of success tend to socialize faculty, staff and students into dominant ways of being and oftentimes oppressive cultures in academe that perpetuate inequitable teaching and learning environments. This interactive keynote, instead, will introduce a Culturally Informed Strengths Approach to success, based on CliftonStrengths, that encourages being your authentic self, building upon the often unacknowledged assets that faculty, staff and students bring to their roles in higher education.
Faculty, staff, and administrators have been invited. Unfortunately this event is full because we cannot order additional lunch orders.
Interactive Keynote Schedule:
11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Overview of CliftonStrengths and the Culturally Informed Strengths Approach
12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Lunch (provided if RSVP by Monday, November 4th)
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Workshop on applying the Culturally Informed Strengths Approach to maximize effectiveness
