Matadors Forward
February 10, 2022
Dear Matadors,
CSUN returns to on-campus learning on Monday, February 14, 2022.
We are looking forward to seeing the vast majority of you back on campus in less than a week! On-campus instruction will resume on Monday, February 14 (for those of you taking weekend classes, please check in with your instructor).
We recognize that students may have different perspectives about returning to campus. While some are quite enthusiastic to be back in person, for others being back brings new challenges such as transportation, housing, employment and family and child care.
Some of these issues may be most significant for those stepping foot onto campus for the very first time. However, please know that we are here to support and assist all of our students as they navigate back to campus. From your instructors, advisors, counselors and to all other support staff you have an entire campus here to assist you as needed. Whether you are coming to campus or continuing to take some classes online, a good resource is the information available at the MATADORS FORWARD website.

CSUN welcomes you back to campus! Important reminders.
Your health and safety continue to be top priority! We have increased sanitization and cleaning of classrooms and shared spaces, improved ventilation of our facilities, and taken extra precautions to get ready for your return.
In addition, here are some important health and safety reminders as you get ready to return to campus.
- You must be fully vaccinated, including a booster shot if you are eligible, unless you have a medical or religious exemption. Submit your self-certification by logging in to the myNorthridge Portal going to the Vaccination Self-Certification pagelet on the Home tab and selecting the COVID 19 Self-Certification link.
- If you have a medical or religious exemption, you must take a COVID test each week that you come to campus. Here’s where to go for free COVID testing on campus.
- Before arriving on campus, take the daily health screening survey.
- Wear a medical-grade/surgical, KN95 or N95 mask while inside classrooms or buildings.
- SMILE. TAKE A DEEP BREATH. The campus is ready and excited to welcome you back! Let’s keep taking care of each other.
As always, please regularly visit the MATADORS FORWARD website for the latest guidance and information. If you have any questions about vaccinations, boosters or testing, you may contact the Student Heath Center at (818) 677-3666.
See you on Monday, Matadors!
